I'm starting to have this really cool conversation with a friend of my sister's. He is a philosophy major that used to be a Christian and has now reconsidered due to his studies. This reminds me of Professor Taylor who is a Philosophy professor at Westmont and whose class I took on Christian Apologetics. He went through a similar thing that the more he studied Philosophy, the more he questioned God until he had an unforgetable experience that changed his life. No matter how much he looked at things through the philosophical view, nothing could take away his supernatural experience that could not fit into any sort of box.
