Montecito Tea Fire - Update from Pastor Denny Wayman

We are thankful that the winds did not continue the devastation of our city. Thank you for your prayers.
1. The loss of homes within our own church family remains the same. We have started a "SMELLEY FIRE FUND" for helping Russell, Allison and Travis rebuild their lives. They have a couple of offers for housing from members of our congregation and will be working on that. If you have ideas be sure and call me.

2. Westmont lost 9 buildings in all. There are approximately 50 students displaced. The college is considering resuming on Wednesday of this week. We will let you know if we need your help. Thank you for the 20 some people who have offered housing and we will get back to you as needed.

3. As the winds moved east and hit Sylmar last night we experienced another tragedy as the pastoral family of our Sylmar church lost their home. Please pray for Bob and Renee Manabanag as they now begin to replace their home.


4. The city let us know that the call for volunteers is not needed and that the number the paper gave us is a private cell phone, so don't call that number.

5. We have all had friends and business associates who have suffered in this disaster, please pray for and make yourselves available to talk with and assist these who are in your life.
